[Bonus points if you knew the Sunsets and Sushi reference]
It was the perfect sunny day and we spontaneously decided to shoot for fun because those days don’t come by often in Toronto. Cloudless and humidless days are precious in our 2-month summers. I wish i was kidding.
I wanted to find an abandoned farm and a field with tall unkempt grass. And up on a hill. You know, so we get as much as we could from the sunset. We drove to the edge of Richmond Hill then kept driving. We ended up in Aurora where an abandoned house sat alone, surrounded by grass and trees. The gravel road didn’t lead up to the house so we hopped out of the car and worked it out right there.

Can we have this all year round? Pleeease?

So if you’re too school for cool…

Nerds or hipsters?

We tried out Mi-Ne sushi‘s new location in Aurora. Mmm the sushi rolls were so good. Portions were big and the fish was fresh.

The best way to celebrate a long weekend is to eat a variety of good food. Yesterday: ribfest. Today: Food truck festival.
I’m off to Boston for the next couple days where I’m sure we’ll be enjoying even more good food
Let me know if you have food or touristy recommendations!

Food Truck Festival

I didn’t really like the taco (left) but I quite enjoyed the ice cream (right)

Bottom left: Lobster sandwich…tastes like coleslaw..
Bottom right: We lined up for 2 hours for that apple grilled cheese. Worth it? Not so much (but I still love grilled cheese)

It’s rare to have a full weekend of perfect weather. Not a cloud in the sky, warm temperatures, no humidity…we were set on making the most of it. And we did
Thanks for a great weekend, friends!
PS. I definitely borrowed “Cottage-o-love” from Julie. Thanks!

So our trip got extended…thanks to bad weather which led to a cancelled flight. We stayed overnight in a hotel outside of Detroit and were given meal vouchers. We asked for 4 rooms with king-sized beds

Late night snacks on our last night in LA

Waiting for our airport shuttle to take us to our layover hotel

We were each given toiletry kits that came with a t-shirt…

SkyTeam! (backwards!)

We were excited for our final flight home because 1) we were finally going home and 2) we were flying first class!
We hung out in the first class lounge, ate some food, had some drinks, then got on our 40min flight home

Much thanks to E/Q/A for a super fun trip! We ate a lot and laughed even more
Thanks for the memories, SkyTeam!
