The Proposal : Andrew + Sarah

She thought they were going to a promotion at a local bakery. Because that’s what he told her. Of course he would take her to a cake + cupcake boutique. She loves to bake.

When Andrew told first told me his plan, I got really giddy. Not only would I get to witness a proposal from beginning to end, I got to photograph it too! :D

Many thanks to the awesome ladies at The Designer Cookie for accommodating everything and for helping the plan run flawlessly!

Andrew + Sarah, thank you so much for the opportunity to photograph such a special moment in your lives. Here’s to many more happy surprises :)

The location: The Designer Cookie
The crew: Elyse and her super talented team from The Designer Cookie
The plan: I arrive early and start photographing cakes like I’m doing a shoot for Designer Cookie.

Andrew and Sarah have arrived. I’m still pretending to take photos of another cake while sneaking in shots of them :P


The cake was moved to the front counter and Elyse intentionally brings the couple towards the target location.


Sarah is looking RIGHT at the cake but didn’t react until….


Ta-da! :)


She said yes! :)
