I’ve known Vicki and Kev since secondish year of university. Vicki was our neighbour in Hamilton, but my housemates and I didn’t know until later. I’m not sure if we found out before or after Ben, Vicki’s brother, moved in with us haha. Then fast forward 2 years..Kev became a member of the Emerson family lol
I’m super honoured to be a part of this and blessed to have witnessed their special day
Congrats Kev + Vicki!
Here it is…the McMaster rendition of Train’s Hey, Soul Sister!
A few photos (half weren’t taken by me):

[Edit]: Yay, it’s officially the first day of summer!

I have this small, thick notebook of blank paper that I got from volunteering at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 3 years ago. I decided to use it for taking notes starting from one end and doodling/sketching from the other end.
Sometimes, I randomly have the urge to just draw stuff…nothing in particular but I like patterns so that’s the first thing I started with. The first 2 were done over the course of a week or so. I don’t really remember. I just kept adding to it everytime I looked at it lol

The was done this past week and it’s based off of the profile picture of Colour Me Katie.

CIBC is the broadcast sponsor for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Check out what we got at our meeting this morning at 9am

(Note: Today’s pictures were all taken with my phone…I should’ve taken them from further away …oops lol)
I was exploring my new neighbourhood at work, trying to decide what to eat when I came across Petite Thuet. I recently read a review on BlogTO so I decided to try it out. I didn’t get any pastries because I wanted a meal so I went for a sandwich. I don’t remember everything that was in it, but there was definitely some deliciously buttered bread, chicken and tomatoes. I’m not sure if the sauce was alfredo but it was definitely creamy. Yum.
Oh yeah, TGIF!

About three months ago, I took this picture. The sun was pretty far from the big antenna/tower at the right.

Look at where the sun was 2 nights ago! This is how I gauge when summer is here

How amazing was the weather this weekend? I loooved it!
On Saturday, Andrew and I went to Langdon Hall in Cambridge to hang out with Ming after his wedding gig. We had a nice fancy lunch and enjoyed the afternoon wandering around the property. Ming found a little area with lots of dandelions that had ripened and turned into a field of fluff. So naturally, we had some fun with that
Here’s a shot that Andrew took:
My dish: Braised Lamb Neck. Parmesan Gnocchi, Belgian Endive, Navel Orange, Valentine Radish, Potato Butter

Sunday was another beautiful hot, sunny day. The plan was to check out Casa Loma and the Roger’s studio as part of Doors Open but we figured we couldn’t make it in time and we didn’t want to stand in line. So we went to the Ontario Association of Architects (Ted Mosby, what?)
We sat in a boardroom, listening to a baby Theo, the CEO lead a meeting
Yeah..I know he’s cute lol

Other shots from the building:

As the sun began to go down, we decided to go to the Bluffs but it was packed so we went to Guildwood Park and took in the sunset from there. Check out this little animation taken by John!
Here’s to more beautiful summer weather!
