This year for the Victoria Day long weekend, the cruise crew and I decided to rent a cottage from Golden Beach Resort by Rice Lake, just south of Peterborough. I’ve never been a cottage person. Is that an Asian thing? Maybe. You see, in my mind a cottage was like an old cabin or something but the resort home we rented was definitely not a cabin. Yes, I should’ve known by the category “resort home” that it wasn’t going to be a typical cottage. It was like a fully furnished home/condo straight out of an Ikea catalogue. The kitchen was stocked with nice kitchenware from Lagostina. We were totally not expecting that haha. If I had known this earlier, I would’ve been a regular cottage-goer! I’ve known Jon since first year. We met in Calc 1A03 at Mac..aka my worst class in university. What’s worse is that I didn’t even need to take calc lol
Jon likes to remind me that we met after the first midterm, which did not go so great for me haha. He says it was easy…probably because he got 99.9% or something. We served on the committee for our fellowship at Mac in second year lol..but other than that we didn’t hang out much. We hang out more ever since we graduated, along with the rest of our cruise crew: Karen, Ben and Hugo. Check out a few pictures..more to come soon!

Last weekend my friends, Keith and Misa, celebrated the 5th year of their
clinic with an open house. Our small group dropped by to join in the festivities, get a massage, ionic cleanse, and of course cake.

I’ve wanted to learn to use an old manual film SLR for a while so when a friend brought up that his dad still had one, I decided to give it a try. I’m expecting a lot of bad shots but hopefully there’ll be a few good ones in there too
So on Sunday, I took a trip to SuperStore (I really like going to SuperStore lol) to look for film. I didn’t even see the tiny section of film! I had to ask someone to show me where it was and just my luck, there was a sale on film! I wanted to a different range of ISOs but they only had 200 and 400. Ok, maybe I was a little ambitious and bought 6 rolls of film, but they came in packs of 3 and it’s cheaper to buy in bulk! 
Here’s the camera I’ll be using! I’ll post up pictures when the roll is done
